"Twos" music video !!!!

The music video for “Twos” is out!!!!!! Please watch and tell us what you think!!!!

Sam and I have been talking about this music video for, I believe, literal years. They had the idea for a Perfume Genius music video contest to do two side by side shots, and lo and behold, it applied here. Maybe this will foreshadow getting to work with producer Blake Mills one day…

It felt particularly special that Sam and I were so scrappy on this video, and yet it’s one of the ones I’m most proud of. We had friends as extras, we filmed the big scenes at a church on our street, we made up most of the costumes with pieces from L’s closet (another co-star!!)

It also felt extremely Philly. I got to work with one of my favorite Philly drag queens again, Miss Thing, who did my vampire makeup and stars as the priestess. I will cherish the memory of them putting in my yellow contacts in a church bathroom! I also got to start working with Philly designer Jasmine Schulte, who’s done a bunch of dresses for Mannequin Pussy and Pom Pom Squad. Twos-day, the day of the music video release, also happened to be my 2 year anniversary in Philly. I love this city and I am grateful for the life my music has gotten to live in it <3

And this music video is not the only good news!!!! Our deluxe album, The Secret Ingredient is Even More Meat, will be coming out with Audio Antihero! The same label that does Frog, CIAO MALZ, Avery Friedman, and more. In the next week, we are finishing up pieces for the deluxe album to send off to be mixed! I had friends over the other night and we sang a group chorus for a new version of “Tony Soprano” and my friend Abby was literally holding her baby while we all sang. More and more I think about how many people I’ve asked to support and help with this album, with the Noisy in general. It is a relief that these successes do not belong only to me, and that more and more, this project is inextricable from my dearest friendships!
